Symbol of a Nation: The Bald Eagle in American Culture

Elizabeth Atwood Lawrence

Veterinarian as well as an anthropologist, received her A.B. degree from Mount Holyoke College, her V.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, and her Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from Brown University. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Studies at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine.
