will be published in online-only format effective with the 2024 volume. This is a proactive move towards reducing the environmental impact caused by the production and distribution of printed journal copies and will allow the journal to invest in further innovation, digital development, and sustainability measures. All color images will now be reproduced digitally and published free of charge. Printed copies may be obtained through a print-on-demand service.



Glia
 is a peer-reviewed neurobiology journal serving as the number one resource for glial research. Published articles cover all aspects of glial cell biology in health and disease.

For over 35 years, we have provided researchers with an international forum to advance research into glial cells (also known as gliocytes or neuroglia) through original research articles and critical review papers. In addition to regular issues, the journal also publishes Special Issues on hot topics within glial research.
