Biomedical potential of hydrothermally synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles for antifungal evaluation and cytotoxicity analysis

  •  3 October 2023

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

The graphical abstract present that study was conducted to identify the efficacy of hydrothermally synthesized ZnO NPs against the pathogenic fungi Fusariumincarnatum (MT682502) and Aspergillus niger (MT675916) isolated from the capsicum and tomato, respectively, and identified through morphological and molecular analysis. The toxicity evaluation of ZnO NPs was also examined against the human embryonic kidney (HEK293) cell line for their safe use.

Synthesis of nickel oxide nanoparticles from Enicostemma littorale plant extract and investigation of their photocatalytic and antimicrobial properties

  •  3 October 2023

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

Nickel oxide nanoparticle (NiOxi-NP) synthesized from Enicostemma littorale (ESL) plant extract has a spherical shape (33–46 nm) with face centre cubic lattice showing two intense peaks at 2θ = 36.42° (111) and 42.87° (200). It shows better anticancer activity on the (MCF-7) breast tumour cancer cell line (MCF-7) with the IC50 value of 12.87 μg/mL. It shows better antibacterial activity on harmful bacteria and photodegradation of the dye rhodamine B (RBD) in 16 min at 0.025 mg/L

Phyto-synthesis of silver nanoparticles from Tephrosia purpurea and its in-vitro biogenic actions

  •  1 October 2023

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

T. purpurea leaf extract has been utilized to synthesize facile and non-toxic silver nanoparticles. Analytical techniques were used to characterize the TP-AgNPs, including FE-SEM, EDX, UV–visible spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, XRD, and zeta potential. Further, the biological activities of TP-AgNPs were examined, which advanced their applications for futuristic research purposes.

A robust in vitro Anticancer, Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Agents Based on New Metal-Azomethine Chelates Incorporating Ag(I), Pd (II) and VO (II) Cations: Probing the Aspects of DNA Interaction

  •  6 December 2019

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

Some new complexes derived fromVO(II), Ag(I) and Pd(II) metal ions and HNAP azomethine ligand have been prepared and their structuresare elucidated via different physicochemical tools. Moreover, theprepared complexes were checked towards for their antimicrobial, antioxidantand anticancer activities and the results indicate that the metal complexesexhibit a stronger biological efficiency compared to their corresponding imineligand. Furthermore, the interaction of the complexes via CT-DNA had been observed usingviscosity, gel electrophoreses and spectral studies estimations.

Current Applications of Suzuki–Miyaura Coupling Reaction in The Total Synthesis of Natural Products: An update

  •  19 January 2018

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

Suzuki-Miyaura Coupling Reaction (SMCR) has been extensively used in the total synthesis of natural products. SMCR is an organic reaction, classified as an important cross coupling reaction, where the coupling partners are an appropriate boronic acid and a suitable organohalide, catalyzed by a palladium(0) complex. In this review, we try to underscore the current developments in the applications of SMCR as a key and strategic step (steps) in the total synthesis of natural products, published from 2012 till date.

Synthesis, theoretical investigations, biocidal screening, DNA binding, in vitro cytotoxicity and molecular docking of novel Cu (II), Pd (II) and Ag (I) complexes of chlorobenzylidene Schiff base: Promising antibiotic and anticancer agents

  •  12 October 2018

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

Three new Cu (II), Pd (II) and Ag (I) complexes with bidentate Schiff base ligand 2-[(4-chlorobenzylidene)amino] phenol were synthesized and characterized. The optimized geometry parameters were evaluated and the total energy of HOMO and LUMO, Mullikan atomic charges, dipole moment, orientation and nonlinear optical properties are discussed. The investigated complexes were tested for their antimicrobial and anticancer activities. The obtained results were confirmed by docking and DNA interaction studies.

  •  23 May 2019

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

Some new complexes derived from Cu(II),Pd(II), Zn(II) and Cr(III) ions and OVAP azomethine ligand have been preparedand their structures were elucidated via different physical andanalytical tools. Moreover, the prepared complexes were checkedfor their antimicrobial, antioxidant and anticancer activities and the resultsindicate that the metal complexes exhibit a stronger biological efficiencycompared to their corresponding azomethine ligand. Furthermore, the interaction of the complexes with CT-DNA were investigated using viscosity, gel electrophoreses and spectral studiesestimations.
