Biochemical analysis of three red grapevine varieties during three phenological periods grown under Mediterranean climate conditions

  •  17 June 2024

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

This research assesses the responses of red grapevines to summer stress in the Douro Valley, highlighting the importance of understanding variety-specific responses for sustainable viticulture management, particularly in climate change scenarios.

Genome‐wide analysis of salicylic acid and jasmonic acid signalling marker gene families in wheat

  •  12 June 2024

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

This research elucidated the membership, phylogeny, and biotic stress-responsiveness of seven hormone-responsive gene families in wheat and delineated those which can be used as markers for salicylic acid and jasmonic acid responses.

Comparative transcriptome reprogramming in oak galls containing asexual or sexual generations of gall wasps

  •  12 June 2024

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

Gene expression in the galls induced by the sexual and asexual generation of N. quercusbaccarum and N. numismalis are more similar to each other than the alternate generation of the same species.

The invasive bumblebee Bombus terrestris (Linnaeus, 1758) disrupts the adaptive function of heteranthery by indiscriminately visiting the pollinating and feeding anthers of Senna arnottiana flowers

  •  11 June 2024

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

Although Bombus terrestris has characteristics that make it a good pollinator candidate for pollinating heterantherous flowers, our results indicated that this bumblebee does not appear to discriminate between anther sets and could disrupt the adaptive function of heteranthery, outside its native range.

Genome-wide investigation and analysis of NAC transcription factor family in Populus tomentosa and expression analysis under salt stress

  •  10 June 2024

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

Identification of NAC transcription factor members, gene family analysis, and key NAC transcription factor screening in response to salt stress in Populus tomentosa.
