Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics (AJARE) publishes research on all aspects of agricultural, resource, and environmental economics. Our emphasis is on high-quality, policy-relevant, quantitative economics research. Interdisciplinary research pertaining to agriculture, the environment, natural resources and the bioeconomy that has a significant economic component is also welcome.

AJARE is an international journal welcoming studies focusing on any part of the world. However, we take special interest in studies that reflect the Australasian, Asian, and Indo-Pacific context of many of AJARE’s readers. AJARE aims to maintain and improve the high standard of analytical rigour of published articles while offering diversity of content to appeal to a broad spectrum of academic and professional economists and policymakers.
