Curtis's Botanical Magazine is the world’s longest running, continuously published botanical periodical featuring original colour illustrations of plants. Founded in 1787, it is still relevant in the 21st century as an international forum for botanists, horticulturists, plant conservationists, ecologists, and those with a special interest in botanical illustration. By highlighting our understanding of biodiversity through the papers it publishes, the journal contributes to the plant sciences, providing a valuable foundation on which to engage the world with increasingly important issues such as biodiversity loss, food security, and the impact of our changing climate.
