Tribute to H. George Frederickson (1934-2020)

H. George Frederickson is one of the most recognizable names among public administration and management scholarship. If you had the chance to meet him, you would almost certainly count him among your friends. His face was one that always brightened the scene at academic conferences, even when we weren’t fortunate enough to catch a minute with him. In addition to his scholarly contributions, he was a dedicated advocate for the discipline through his many service roles. George is counted a mentor, formal or informal, by scores of active scholars. PAR’s editorial team wishes to pay homage by looking back on his many contributions to our pages with this special virtual issue.

COVID-19 Viewpoint Symposium

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Public Administration Review issued a call for papers for Viewpoint articles about the crisis. Since issuing this call, we've recieved over 200 submissions from around the world offering different perspectives on the crisis. In order to share these articles in a timely fashion, we've started publishing the accepted versions in a symposium before the version of record is available. 

Lessons from and for Latin American Public Administration

This latest PAR virtual issue includes a selection of articles most frequently download by readers in South America. Topics include transparency, ethics, citizen participation, and public service.
