Microcirculation is a vascular biology journal that contributes significant new findings in vascular and lymphatic microcirculation. The scope covers research at the intact animal, organ, cellular, or molecular level, as well as state-of-the-art reviews addressing advances in technology in the fields of microcirculatory disease and function. We welcome papers that apply the methods of physiology, biophysics, bioengineering, genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology to problems in microcirculation.

Microcirculation is pleased to announce that it will be publishing a Special Topics Issue on “Understanding Vascular Reactivity” to feature the importance of molecular and cellular mechanisms as well as the unanswered and emerging questions. This Special Issue represents overlapping interests between the Microcirculatory Society and the International Symposium on Resistance Arteries. The issue will be edited by Dr. Manuel Navedo (University of California - Davis), Dr. Scott Earley (University of Nevada - Reno) and Dr. Brant Isakson (University of Virginia).
