Temperature- and Pressure-Dependent Emissions and Crystal- Glass Transition of a Hybrid Manganese Bromide

  •  5 December 2024

Graphical Abstract

Temperature- and Pressure-Dependent Emissions and Crystal- Glass Transition of a Hybrid Manganese Bromide† Issue ,

Temperature and pressure-stimulated responsive behavior and crystal-glass phase transition of a new zero-dimensional hybrid manganese bromide were reported. Our results demonstrate that the photoluminescence emission of the considered material can be effectively regulated by temperature and pressure. In addition, this material shows a crystal-glass phase transition and the prepared glass exhibits excellent luminescent performance.

DABCO-Mediated Photoelectrochemical Three-Component Sulfonocyclization of 3-Aza-1,5-dienes

DABCO-Mediated Photoelectrochemical Three-Component Sulfonocyclization of 3-Aza-1,5-dienes Issue ,

We present a rare example of three-component net-oxidative sulfonylation of a SO2 surrogate with an oxidatively activated radical precursor. Under photoelectrochemical conditions, the reaction is extremely mild and metal- and external-oxidant-free, and affords sulfono 4-pyrrolin-2-ones with a great functional-group tolerance. The in situ generated 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) serves as an electron shuttle.

The design of molecular structures is essential for achieving high-performance organic photoelectric devices. A series of S,N-heterocyclic non-fullerene acceptors which feature strong near-infrared absorption, excellent molecular coplanarity, and robust crystallinity were developed. These materials were successfully employed in organic field-effect transistors and ternary organic solar cells devices. More details are discussed in the article by Liu et al. on pages 13—22.

Herein, we present our work on the synthesis and characterization of novel vanadium complexes supported by a trisamidophosphine ligand, with a focus on their ability to activate dinitrogen. The tetra-dentate sites and wiggled arylamine substituents in the [PN3] ligand guarantee to support the vanadium center with different oxidation states and bind several small molecules in the apical pocket. More details are discussed in the report by Shi et al. on pages 39—45.
