Aims and Scope

Protein Science, the flagship journal of The Protein Society, publishes original reports and review articles that advance fundamental knowledge, in the broadest sense, concerning protein molecules. Protein Science welcomes papers describing experimental and computational or theoretical studies focused on protein function, including analyses of mechanism, structure, folding, design, and evolution. We also welcome papers that describe the applications of protein science in the areas of therapeutics, protein-based biomaterials, bionanotechnology, synthetic biology, and bioelectronics.

Protein Science accepts manuscript submissions in any format that is suitable for review; conversion of the manuscript to journal-style format is required only upon acceptance for publication.
